Advanced Navigation UX

Upgrade your Shopware 6 storefront navigation with flyout menus, Amazon-style category browsing, category icons, and a fully responsive mobile OffCanvas menu.

This is a concept, built for your shop

The description shows what such a plugin can do. We tailor the scope to your shop after a short needs analysis and usually deliver within a few days.

In short

  • Reduce navigation-related bounce rates by giving shoppers a clear, intuitive path through deep category trees
  • Increase mobile conversions with a purpose-built OffCanvas menu designed for touch interaction
  • Accelerate store setup with admin-panel configuration — no developer involvement needed after installation

Why this extension

Without the plugin

Default Shopware 6 navigation covers the basics, but growing stores with deep category trees quickly run into its limitations. Shoppers get lost in flat menus, mobile usability suffers, and there is no straightforward way to surface subcategories without custom theme development. The result is higher bounce rates and lost conversions — especially on mobile devices where navigation friction is most damaging.

With the plugin

The Advanced Navigation UX plugin replaces the standard header navigation with a fully configurable, component-based system built on Twig UX. Choose between a classic flyout menu, an Amazon-style category browser, or a collapsible toggle layout — and complement it with a smooth OffCanvas mobile menu optimised for touchscreens. Every option is controlled from the Shopware 6 administration panel, requiring zero code modifications to your theme.

How it would work

  1. Install & Activate

Upload the plugin via the Shopware 6 Plugin Manager or install it through the store. Activate it for your Sales Channel in a single click. The plugin automatically replaces the default storefront navigation component with no theme file conflicts.

  2. Choose Your Navigation Style

Open the plugin configuration in the Shopware 6 administration panel and select your preferred desktop navigation layout: standard flyout, Amazon-style browser, or collapsed toggle. Each layout supports independent configuration of subcategory limits and icon display.

  3. Configure Mobile Menu

Enable the OffCanvas mobile menu and configure its behaviour — entry animation, close trigger, and category depth. The hamburger button is automatically injected into the storefront header at the correct responsive breakpoint.

  4. Assign Category Icons (Optional)

Navigate to any category in the Shopware 6 Category Manager and upload or assign an icon using the additional field added by the plugin. Icons appear automatically in the navigation without any template modifications.

Frequently asked questions

Is this a ready plugin I can buy?

No – it is a concept. We build it for your shop after a short needs analysis. Prices start at €100 and you get a fixed quote before we start.

Will this plugin conflict with my existing theme?

The plugin is built using Shopware 6's native Twig UX component system and overrides only the navigation block. It is designed to coexist with custom themes. In rare cases where a theme also overrides the navigation block, our team provides integration assistance.

Can I use different navigation styles on different Sales Channels?

Yes. The plugin's configuration is scoped per Sales Channel in the Shopware 6 administration panel, allowing you to use a flyout menu on one storefront and an Amazon-style browser on another.

Is the mobile OffCanvas menu included at no extra cost?

Yes. The OffCanvas mobile menu with hamburger button is included as part of the plugin and does not require a separate licence or add-on.

Do I need a developer to configure the plugin?

No. All navigation styles, subcategory limits, icon assignments, and mobile menu settings are managed entirely from the Shopware 6 administration panel. No code changes or theme modifications are required.

Which Shopware versions are supported?

We build it for the version your shop runs: 6.5, 6.6 or 6.7. Updates for new Shopware versions are included as long as we stay in active contact.

How long does it take?

Usually 5–10 business days after the needs analysis, depending on the agreed scope.
