The Advanced Search Fields plugin extends the Shopware 6 search engine — both the main storefront search and the live suggest (autocomplete) function — to include product numbers, EAN, GTIN, and any custom fields you define. Store administrators can configure exactly which fields are indexed directly from the admin panel, without writing a single line of code. How it would work

  1. Install and Configure

    After installation, navigate to the plugin configuration section in your Shopware 6 admin panel. Select which product fields — product number, EAN, GTIN, or any custom field — should be included in storefront search queries. No code changes are required.

  2. Search Index Update

    Once fields are selected, the plugin integrates with Shopware 6's search criteria at query time. Enabled fields are automatically included in both the main search and the suggest endpoint, so customers see relevant results as they type.
