All Shipping Rates Preview
Display estimated costs for every available shipping method during Shopware 6 checkout — letting customers compare options without switching methods manually.
The description shows what such a plugin can do. We tailor the scope to your shop after a short needs analysis and usually deliver within a few days.
In short
- Reduce cart abandonment by showing all delivery costs upfront, eliminating the need for customers to switch methods manually
- Increase checkout conversion by giving shoppers instant price comparison across every available shipping option
- Strengthen legal and regulatory compliance by presenting transparent delivery pricing in a single, clearly labelled step
Why this extension
Without the plugin
In a standard Shopware 6 checkout, shipping costs are only calculated for the currently selected delivery method. Customers who want to compare options must manually switch between methods one by one — a friction-heavy experience that increases cart abandonment and undermines purchase confidence. In some jurisdictions, the inability to display all delivery costs upfront also raises transparency concerns that merchants need to address proactively.
With the plugin
The All Shipping Rates Preview extension solves this limitation by delivering a dedicated Store API endpoint that returns estimated costs for every available shipping method in a single, performance-optimised request. Using a bulk calculation approach that runs after all cart processors have completed, the plugin keeps your store fast while giving customers the pricing clarity they need to complete their purchase with confidence.
How it would work
- Cart Processing Completes Normally
The customer's active cart is processed by Shopware 6 exactly as it would be in a standard checkout flow. All existing promotions, tax rules, and cart validators run without modification, ensuring no regression in your existing checkout logic.
- Bulk Shipping Estimation Runs
After cart processing is complete, the plugin triggers a single bulk estimation pass across all shipping methods available for the current sales channel, customer, and cart state. Rather than re-running the full cart processor for each method — which would be prohibitively expensive at scale — the engine calculates delivery costs using the finalised cart data, keeping the performance impact minimal.
- Results Returned via Store API
The estimated costs for all shipping methods are returned through a dedicated Store API route. Your frontend — whether a Shopware 6 Storefront theme, a Vue.js Storefront customisation, or a fully headless PWA — can consume this data to render a comparison table, inline price labels, or any other UI pattern that fits your checkout design.
Frequently asked questions
Is this a ready plugin I can buy?
No – it is a concept. We build it for your shop after a short needs analysis. Prices start at €100 and you get a fixed quote before we start.
Are the displayed shipping costs exact or estimated?
The costs returned by the API are estimates calculated using a bulk approach after all cart processors have run. For the overwhelming majority of shipping rule configurations, these estimates match the final price exactly. Edge cases — such as shipping methods that invalidate or alter the cart itself — are documented, and the API response clearly indicates that prices are estimates so your frontend can communicate this appropriately to customers.
Will this plugin slow down my checkout?
No. The bulk calculation model is specifically designed to avoid re-running the full Shopware 6 cart processor for every shipping method. Estimation runs once, post-processing, using the already-computed cart state. The Store API call is made asynchronously by the frontend, so it does not block the initial page render.
Does it work with headless and PWA frontends?
Yes. The plugin exposes a standard Shopware 6 Store API endpoint, making it fully compatible with headless architectures, PWA storefronts, and any frontend framework that communicates with the Shopware API. No Twig or Storefront dependency is required.
Can I limit which shipping methods appear in the comparison?
Yes. The plugin respects your existing Shopware 6 sales channel configuration and availability rules. Only methods that are genuinely available to the customer — based on their cart, customer group, and geographic location — are included in the response. Additional filtering options are available in the plugin's administration panel.
Which Shopware versions are supported?
We build it for the version your shop runs: 6.5, 6.6 or 6.7. Updates for new Shopware versions are included as long as we stay in active contact.
How long does it take?
Usually 5–10 business days after the needs analysis, depending on the agreed scope.
