Auto Customer Group Assignment

The description shows what such a plugin can do. We tailor the scope to your shop after a short needs analysis and usually deliver within a few days.
In short
- Eliminate manual customer group activation entirely for new B2B registrations
- Onboard dealers and partners instantly — no waiting period between registration and account access
- Reduce administrative overhead by automating repetitive account management tasks
Why this extension
Without the plugin
Running a B2B shop in Shopware 6 often means maintaining separate registration forms for dealers, partners, and wholesale buyers. The problem is that once a customer completes that form, someone still has to manually review and activate the account — assigning the correct customer group by hand, every single time. For shops processing dozens of new B2B registrations per week, this creates a significant administrative burden that slows down onboarding and frustrates new customers waiting for access.
With the plugin
This plugin solves that problem through full automation. It links each dedicated registration form directly to a specific customer group, so the moment a customer confirms their registration, they are instantly placed in the correct group — whether that is dealer, partner, wholesale, or any custom group you have configured in Shopware 6. No admin intervention required. The integration works alongside the native Shopware 6 Flow Builder or as a standalone mechanism, giving you flexibility regardless of your existing automation setup.
How it would work
- Configure Your Mapping
In the plugin settings within the Shopware 6 administration panel, select a registration form and assign it to the target customer group. You can create as many form-to-group pairs as your business requires — one for dealers, one for partners, one for regional wholesalers, and so on.
- Customer Registers
A new B2B customer discovers the dedicated registration form for their segment and completes the sign-up process. Optionally, the plugin checks that their email domain matches an approved list before proceeding with automatic assignment.
- Automatic Assignment on Confirmation
The moment the customer confirms their registration, the plugin assigns them to the mapped customer group without any admin interaction. If enabled, an email notification is sent to the store administrator so your team stays informed. The customer immediately gains access to the pricing, content, and catalog rules defined for their group.
Frequently asked questions
Is this a ready plugin I can buy?
No – it is a concept. We build it for your shop after a short needs analysis. Prices start at €100 and you get a fixed quote before we start.
Do I need to use Flow Builder for this plugin to work?
No. The plugin operates as a fully standalone mechanism and does not require Flow Builder to be configured. However, it also integrates natively with Shopware 6 Flow Builder if you prefer to incorporate the assignment logic into a broader automation flow.
Can I configure different customer groups for different registration forms?
Yes. The plugin supports multiple form-to-group mappings simultaneously. You can assign a dealer registration form to a dealer group and a partner registration form to a partner group — each configured and managed independently.
What is the email domain verification feature?
The conditional assignment mode allows you to restrict automatic group assignment to customers who register with an email address from a predefined list of approved business domains. Registrations from other domains are held for manual review, giving you an extra layer of control for sensitive customer groups.
Will this plugin conflict with my existing customer group rules in Shopware 6?
No. The plugin works within the native Shopware 6 customer group architecture and does not modify existing group structures or permission rules. It simply automates the assignment step that would otherwise be performed manually by an administrator.
Which Shopware versions are supported?
We build it for the version your shop runs: 6.5, 6.6 or 6.7. Updates for new Shopware versions are included as long as we stay in active contact.
How long does it take?
Usually 5–10 business days after the needs analysis, depending on the agreed scope.
