Where does the plugin pull the company name from?
The company name is read from the billing address associated with each order. If no company name is present in the billing address, the plugin falls back to the shipping address. Orders placed by private customers without a company name will simply show an empty value in that column.

No. The plugin only extends the display layer of the order overview grid. It does not modify, migrate, or alter any existing order data in your Shopware 6 database.
