Cart Webhook Events

Add missing cart webhook events to Shopware 6 and enable real-time abandoned cart tracking with Omnisend, Klaviyo, Mailerlite, and any HTTP-based tool.

This is a concept, built for your shop

The description shows what such a plugin can do. We tailor the scope to your shop after a short needs analysis and usually deliver within a few days.

In short

  • Recover lost revenue by triggering abandoned cart campaigns the moment a customer leaves without purchasing
  • Integrate with Omnisend, Mailerlite, Klaviyo, or any platform that accepts standard HTTP webhooks — no custom code required
  • React to cart changes in real time, enabling personalized follow-up emails with accurate product and pricing data

Why this extension

Without the plugin

Shopware 6 does not emit webhook events for cart activity out of the box. This means that when a customer adds a product, updates a quantity, or abandons a cart entirely, none of your connected marketing tools receive any signal — leaving your remarketing campaigns blind and your revenue recovery workflows broken.

With the plugin

The Cart Webhook Events plugin closes this gap by adding the missing cart-related webhook events directly to your Shopware 6 store. It exposes cart data through the Admin API and fires standard HTTP webhook calls whenever cart activity occurs, enabling seamless integration with email marketing platforms such as Omnisend, Mailerlite, and Klaviyo — without any custom development work.

How it would work

  1. Install and Configure

After installation, open the plugin settings in your Shopware 6 Administration panel. Enter the webhook endpoint URLs provided by your email marketing platform (Omnisend, Mailerlite, Klaviyo, or any custom receiver). Set your preferred cart abandonment timeout — for example, 30 or 60 minutes of inactivity.

  2. Events Fire Automatically

From that point on, every qualifying cart action in your storefront triggers an HTTP POST request to your configured endpoint. The JSON payload contains the full cart state, customer identifiers (where available), and a precise event timestamp — everything your marketing platform needs to personalise follow-up messaging.

  3. Automate Your Campaigns

Inside your email marketing tool, map the incoming webhook data to your automation flows. Build abandoned cart sequences, browse-abandonment nurtures, or real-time low-stock alerts — all driven by live Shopware 6 cart data with no manual exports or scheduled syncs required.

Frequently asked questions

Is this a ready plugin I can buy?

No – it is a concept. We build it for your shop after a short needs analysis. Prices start at €100 and you get a fixed quote before we start.

Which email marketing platforms does this plugin work with?

The plugin sends standard HTTP POST webhooks with JSON payloads, making it compatible with any platform that accepts webhook input — including Omnisend, Mailerlite, Klaviyo, ActiveCampaign, Make (formerly Integromat), Zapier, and custom receivers. No proprietary connector is required.

Does the plugin work for guest shoppers as well as registered customers?

Yes. Cart events are tracked for all sessions. For registered customers, the payload includes account identifiers. For guest sessions, the cart token and any email address entered during checkout are included, enabling your marketing platform to match and follow up where possible.

How is the abandoned cart timeout configured?

You can define the inactivity period — the time after a cart was last modified with no subsequent purchase — directly in the plugin settings. The default is 60 minutes, but it can be adjusted to any value that suits your customer behaviour and campaign strategy.

What happens if a webhook delivery fails?

The plugin includes a built-in retry mechanism. Failed deliveries are logged and retried automatically, so transient network issues do not cause cart events to be silently dropped. You can review delivery logs in the Shopware 6 Administration panel.

Which Shopware versions are supported?

We build it for the version your shop runs: 6.5, 6.6 or 6.7. Updates for new Shopware versions are included as long as we stay in active contact.

How long does it take?

Usually 5–10 business days after the needs analysis, depending on the agreed scope.

  • Webhook event fired on cart abandonment – triggered after a configurable inactivity period with complete cart snapshot

  • Standard HTTP POST webhooks with JSON payloads – compatible with any third-party integration platform or automation tool
