CSV Order Import
Import bulk orders from CSV files in the Shopware 6 admin panel. Map columns, validate data, and automate B2B order processing with zero manual entry.
The description shows what such a plugin can do. We tailor the scope to your shop after a short needs analysis and usually deliver within a few days.
In short
- Eliminate manual order entry and reduce processing time by up to 90%
- Handle high-volume B2B order batches without additional staff
- Prevent data errors before they reach your order pipeline through pre-import validation
Why this extension
Without the plugin
B2B merchants and wholesalers often receive large volumes of orders from external systems, procurement platforms, or wholesale customers — typically delivered as CSV exports. Without a dedicated import tool, processing these orders in Shopware 6 means tedious manual entry that is slow, costly, and prone to human error.
With the plugin
This plugin adds a dedicated CSV order import function directly to your Shopware 6 administration panel. With flexible column mapping, built-in data validation, and full integration with the native Shopware order API, your team can import hundreds of orders in minutes — accurately and consistently — without any developer involvement.
How it would work
- Upload Your CSV File
Navigate to the Orders section in your Shopware 6 admin panel and click the "Import Orders" button. Select your CSV file — there is no required column naming convention, so files exported from any external system are accepted without modification.
- Map Columns to Order Fields
The plugin displays a visual mapping interface showing your CSV columns alongside all available Shopware order fields. Drag and match each column to its corresponding field. Save the mapping as a reusable template if you import from the same source regularly.
- Validate and Import
Before any orders are created, the plugin validates every row against your Shopware 6 configuration — checking for valid products, customers, shipping methods, and required fields. A validation summary flags any problematic rows so you can correct them before committing the import. Once satisfied, confirm the import and the plugin creates all orders via the native Shopware API.
Frequently asked questions
Is this a ready plugin I can buy?
No – it is a concept. We build it for your shop after a short needs analysis. Prices start at €100 and you get a fixed quote before we start.
Does my CSV file need to follow a specific format or column naming convention?
No. The visual column mapping interface lets you match any column header — or even unnamed columns — to the corresponding Shopware order field. Files exported from ERP systems, procurement platforms, or customer spreadsheets are all supported without reformatting.
What happens if some rows in my CSV contain errors?
The plugin runs a full validation pass before creating any orders. Each problematic row is flagged with a specific error message in the validation summary. You can correct the source file and re-import, or skip invalid rows and import only the valid ones — the choice is yours.
Are imported orders treated the same as manually created orders in Shopware?
Yes. The plugin uses the native Shopware 6 order API to create each order, so imported orders appear identically in your order list, trigger the same status workflows, and are included in all standard reports and exports.
Can we import orders on behalf of existing customers, or only create guest orders?
Both scenarios are supported. If a customer email in the CSV matches an existing Shopware account, the order is linked to that customer. If no match is found, the import can be configured to either create a new customer record or place the order as a guest order, depending on your preference.
Which Shopware versions are supported?
We build it for the version your shop runs: 6.5, 6.6 or 6.7. Updates for new Shopware versions are included as long as we stay in active contact.
How long does it take?
Usually 5–10 business days after the needs analysis, depending on the agreed scope.
