Neutral Sender Address
Let customers or admins define a custom sender address in Shopware 6 checkout — fully reflected in invoices, shipping labels, and all generated documents.
The description shows what such a plugin can do. We tailor the scope to your shop after a short needs analysis and usually deliver within a few days.
In short
- Enable true neutral shipping without custom development or fragile workarounds
- Support dropshipping and white-label fulfillment workflows directly within Shopware 6 checkout
- Eliminate manual document corrections by automatically applying the custom sender address to all generated files
Why this extension
Without the plugin
Dropshipping, white-label fulfillment, and third-party logistics all share a common requirement: the ability to ship under a sender address that differs from the store operator’s own address. Out of the box, Shopware 6 does not provide a mechanism for defining a custom or neutral sender address — leaving merchants to build fragile workarounds or forgo the feature entirely.
With the plugin
The Neutral Sender Address plugin closes this gap by extending the Shopware 6 checkout with dedicated sender address fields. Both customers and administrators can specify a custom dispatch address, which is then carried through the entire order lifecycle and correctly reflected on all generated documents — including invoices, delivery notes, and shipping labels. The integration works natively within Shopware’s entity and document generation systems, requiring no manual post-processing.
How it would work
- Checkout — Enter Sender Address
During checkout, a clearly labelled section invites the customer to enter a neutral sender address. The fields mirror Shopware's existing alternative delivery address UI, ensuring a familiar and intuitive experience. The section can be configured as optional or required per sales channel.
- Order Persistence — Data Stored on the Order Entity
The plugin extends the Shopware 6 order entity to store the custom sender address as a first-class field. The address is saved at the point of order placement and remains attached to the order record, accessible in both the Storefront account area and the administration backend.
- Document Generation — Automatic Address Application
When Shopware 6 generates order documents — invoices, delivery notes, or shipping labels — the plugin intercepts the document renderer and replaces the default store sender address with the order's neutral sender address. No manual editing of PDFs or templates is required.
Frequently asked questions
Is this a ready plugin I can buy?
No – it is a concept. We build it for your shop after a short needs analysis. Prices start at €100 and you get a fixed quote before we start.
Does this plugin work alongside Shopware's standard alternative delivery address feature?
Yes. The neutral sender address is stored as a separate entity extension and does not interfere with Shopware's built-in alternative delivery address functionality. Both features can be active simultaneously without conflict.
Which documents are affected by the neutral sender address?
The plugin integrates with Shopware 6's native document generation module, covering invoices, delivery notes, and cancellation documents by default. Additional document types can be included through the plugin's configuration panel.
Can the store administrator override or set the neutral sender address from the backend?
Yes. Administrators can view and edit the neutral sender address directly within the order detail view in the Shopware 6 administration. This is useful for orders placed by phone or for correcting customer-submitted data before document generation.
Is the neutral sender address field mandatory for all customers?
No. The field is optional by default. You can configure it as mandatory per sales channel, allowing you to enforce neutral sender address entry for specific B2B channels while keeping it optional or hidden for standard retail channels.
Which Shopware versions are supported?
We build it for the version your shop runs: 6.5, 6.6 or 6.7. Updates for new Shopware versions are included as long as we stay in active contact.
How long does it take?
Usually 5–10 business days after the needs analysis, depending on the agreed scope.
