Automatic New Arrivals Filter

Automatically mark and filter new arrivals in Shopware 6 based on import date. Set flexible time windows and create dynamic product groups — without manual effort.

This is a concept, built for your shop

The description shows what such a plugin can do. We tailor the scope to your shop after a short needs analysis and usually deliver within a few days.

In short

  • Eliminate manual date entry by automating arrival tracking at the point of import
  • Surface new products to shoppers instantly, without waiting for interface updates
  • Drive higher conversion rates by letting customers discover what is genuinely new

Why this extension

Without the plugin

Many Shopware 6 stores rely on external interfaces or ERP systems to import product data — and those systems often do not pass a release date to Shopware at all. Without a reliable date signal, there is no clean way to identify new arrivals, which means dynamic product groups based on recency simply cannot be built. The usual workaround — manually entering dates into custom fields — breaks down the moment your catalogue grows beyond a handful of products.

With the plugin

The New Arrivals Filter plugin solves this by automatically tracking when each product was added or imported into Shopware 6. It stamps every product with an arrival date at the moment of creation, regardless of what the external interface sends. From that single data point, the plugin enables configurable "new" time windows, a dedicated storefront filter, and seamless integration with Shopware’s native dynamic product groups — giving you full control over how new arrivals are surfaced to shoppers.

How it would work

  1. Install and Configure

After installation, open the plugin settings in the Shopware 6 administration panel. Set your preferred "new arrivals" window — for example, 30 days — and choose whether to display the "New" badge on product listings. All existing products receive a baseline arrival date on first activation.

  2. Automatic Tagging on Import

From that point forward, every product created or imported into Shopware 6 is automatically stamped with its arrival date. No changes to your import interface or ERP are needed. The plugin listens to Shopware's native product creation events to capture the date reliably.

  3. Filter and Group

Shoppers immediately see the new arrivals filter on listing pages. In the administration, you can use the arrival date condition to build dynamic product groups — for example, "all products imported in the last 60 days" — which update automatically as time passes and new products arrive.

Frequently asked questions

Is this a ready plugin I can buy?

No – it is a concept. We build it for your shop after a short needs analysis. Prices start at €100 and you get a fixed quote before we start.

Our external interface does not send a release date — will this plugin still work?

Yes, that is exactly the scenario this plugin was built for. It captures the arrival date internally at the moment a product is created or imported into Shopware 6, entirely independent of any data your interface or ERP provides.

Can I change the definition of "new" after installation?

Yes. The time window (e.g. 30, 60, or 90 days) is fully configurable in the plugin settings and can be changed at any time. The filter and dynamic product groups update automatically to reflect the new setting.

Is it possible to manually flag a product as new or remove the flag?

Yes. Administrators can override the automatic tagging on any individual product — useful for promotional launches or correcting import anomalies. Bulk actions are also available from the product list view.

Will the new arrivals filter affect my store's performance?

No significant impact is expected. The arrival date is stored as a lightweight product attribute, and the storefront filter uses Shopware's native indexing infrastructure to keep listing pages fast.

Which Shopware versions are supported?

We build it for the version your shop runs: 6.5, 6.6 or 6.7. Updates for new Shopware versions are included as long as we stay in active contact.

How long does it take?

Usually 5–10 business days after the needs analysis, depending on the agreed scope.

All features

  • Automatic arrival date stamping – records the exact date a product is created or imported into Shopware 6, independent of external interface data
  • Configurable "new" time window – define how long a product is considered new (e.g. 30, 60, or 90 days) directly in the plugin settings
  • Dedicated storefront filter – adds a "New Arrivals" filter to product listing pages, allowing shoppers to browse by recency
  • Dynamic product group integration – exposes the arrival date as a condition inside Shopware 6's native dynamic product group rules
  • Manual override – administrators can mark any product as a new arrival or remove the flag individually, regardless of import date
  • Bulk management – apply or remove the "new" tag across multiple products simultaneously from the product list view
  • Storefront-ready labelling – optionally displays a "New" badge on product cards and detail pages for the duration of the configured window
  • No external dependencies – works entirely within Shopware 6 without requiring changes to your ERP or import interface
