Shopware 6 does not natively allow store operators to change the payment or shipping method on an existing order. This extension restores full operational control to your back office. It adds active, editable dropdowns directly to the order detail view in Shopware 6, allowing administrators and customer service staff to switch payment and shipping methods on any existing order in seconds — with automatic shipping cost recalculation and a complete audit trail recorded in the order log.
How it would work
- Install and Configure
Upload the plugin through the Shopware 6 Extension Manager and activate it. In the plugin settings, define which admin user roles are permitted to edit payment and shipping methods on existing orders.
- Edit Orders Directly in the Admin Panel
Open any existing order in the Shopware 6 administration. The previously locked payment method and shipping method fields are now active dropdowns. Select the desired method and save — no additional steps required.
- Automatic Recalculation and Logging
When a shipping method is changed, the plugin automatically recalculates the applicable shipping costs and updates the order total. Every change — including the original value, new value, timestamp, and the operator who made the change — is written to the native Shopware 6 order log for full traceability.
