Time-Based Flow Actions

Extend Shopware 6 Flow Builder with time-delayed actions. Automatically change order or delivery statuses after a set number of days — without a Beyond plan.

This is a concept, built for your shop

The description shows what such a plugin can do. We tailor the scope to your shop after a short needs analysis and usually deliver within a few days.

In short

  • Automate time-sensitive status changes without manual follow-up or daily monitoring
  • Replace the Beyond plan upgrade for a single feature — reducing your monthly platform costs significantly
  • Configure complex time-delayed workflows directly in the Shopware 6 administration panel, with no coding required

Why this extension

Without the plugin

Shopware 6’s built-in Flow Builder is a powerful automation tool, but it has one significant gap: it cannot trigger actions after a time delay. If you want to automatically move an order to "Completed" seven days after it was shipped, or send a follow-up notification a set number of days after a specific event, standard flows simply cannot handle this — leaving you locked out unless you upgrade to the expensive Beyond plan or commission a custom developer script.

With the plugin

The Time-Based Flow Actions plugin closes this gap directly in your Shopware 6 administration panel. It extends the Flow Builder with a new action type that schedules status changes and other operations for a configurable number of days after any supported trigger event. Powered by a background Cron Job, the plugin checks conditions automatically and executes your scheduled actions without any manual intervention or technical knowledge required.

How it would work

  1. Build Your Flow as Normal

Open the Flow Builder in your Shopware 6 administration panel and select any supported trigger event — for example, "Delivery status changed to Shipped." Add conditions as needed using existing rule sets.

  2. Add a Delayed Action

Instead of selecting an immediate action, choose the new "Delayed Action" type provided by this plugin. Configure the delay period in days and select the action to execute — such as changing the order status to "Completed."

  3. Let the Cron Job Handle the Rest

When the trigger event fires, the plugin registers a scheduled task. Your server's Cron Job runs at regular intervals, checks which tasks are due, and executes the configured actions automatically. No further input is needed from you or your team.

Frequently asked questions

Is this a ready plugin I can buy?

No – it is a concept. We build it for your shop after a short needs analysis. Prices start at €100 and you get a fixed quote before we start.

Do I need the Shopware Beyond plan to use this plugin?

No. This plugin is specifically designed to bring time-delayed flow functionality to shops on standard Shopware 6 plans. It is a standalone extension that does not depend on the Beyond subscription or any Shopware cloud service.

How accurate is the timing of delayed actions?

Timing depends on your Cron Job interval configuration. With a standard 15-minute Cron Job interval, actions will execute within 15 minutes of their scheduled time. For most e-commerce use cases — such as delays measured in days — this precision is more than sufficient.

What happens if an order is cancelled before the delay period ends?

The plugin includes safe cancellation logic. If an order or delivery status changes to a state that makes the scheduled action irrelevant — such as a cancellation — the pending action is automatically skipped and logged accordingly.

Can I use this plugin for actions other than status changes?

The initial release focuses on order and delivery status changes, which cover the most common time-delayed workflow needs. Additional delayed action types — such as sending emails or triggering webhooks — are planned for future updates.

Which Shopware versions are supported?

We build it for the version your shop runs: 6.5, 6.6 or 6.7. Updates for new Shopware versions are included as long as we stay in active contact.

How long does it take?

Usually 5–10 business days after the needs analysis, depending on the agreed scope.
