This is a concept, built for your shop

The description shows what such a plugin can do. We tailor the scope to your shop after a short needs analysis and usually deliver within a few days.

In short

  • Eliminate product duplication — manage hundreds of vehicle applications from a single Shopware 6 product record
  • Increase conversion by showing shoppers only the parts that fit their specific vehicle, reducing returns and support tickets
  • Save significant catalogue management time through bulk CSV and XML compatibility imports instead of manual entry

Why this extension

Without the plugin

Auto parts retailers selling on Shopware 6 face a structural problem that the platform does not solve out of the box: a single product — say, an LED replacement bulb — may fit dozens of vehicle makes, models, years, and engine variants. Without a dedicated fitment system, the only options are to duplicate product pages for every application or stuff compatibility data into free-text description fields, both of which destroy catalogue quality and inflate management overhead as your assortment grows.

With the plugin

The Vehicle Compatibility Manager extension solves this at the data layer. It introduces a structured fitment table — aligned with the ACES and TecDoc industry standards — directly inside the Shopware 6 product detail page. One product record can be linked to an unlimited number of vehicle configurations. Titles and descriptions adapt dynamically based on the vehicle context selected by the shopper, and a dedicated garage search filter lets customers find every compatible part in your catalogue without browsing blind. The result is a professional automotive e-commerce experience built on clean, maintainable data.

How it would work

  1. Import or Enter Fitment Data

Upload your existing ACES- or TecDoc-formatted CSV or XML file to populate the compatibility database in one step. Alternatively, enter fitment records manually through the Shopware 6 administration panel. Each record maps a product to a specific combination of year range, make, model, and engine type.

  2. Configure Dynamic Content Rules

Define templates for vehicle-specific product titles and description snippets using simple placeholder tokens (e.g., {year} {make} {model}). When a customer selects a vehicle in the storefront, the plugin renders the correct title and copy automatically — no duplicate product pages needed.

  3. Activate the Garage Filter

Enable the garage search widget in your Shopware 6 Sales Channel settings. Shoppers select their vehicle once — or save multiple vehicles to their account garage — and the entire catalogue filters to show only compatible parts. The selected vehicle persists across sessions for logged-in customers.

Frequently asked questions

Is this a ready plugin I can buy?

No – it is a concept. We build it for your shop after a short needs analysis. Prices start at €100 and you get a fixed quote before we start.

Does this plugin replace product variants, or does it work alongside them?

It works independently of the standard Shopware variant system. Rather than generating separate variant records for each vehicle application, the plugin attaches a fitment table to a single product and renders context-specific titles and descriptions dynamically. You can still use standard variants (e.g., for colour or quantity) alongside vehicle compatibility data.

What import formats are supported for fitment data?

The plugin accepts CSV and XML files. The importer includes a field mapping step and a validation report so you can identify and correct any errors before the data is written to your catalogue. Both ACES and TecDoc export formats are recognised out of the box.

Will the dynamic product titles affect SEO?

Yes — positively. When a shopper arrives on a product page with a vehicle pre-selected (for example, via a search engine result or a garage-filtered category link), the page title and meta content reflect that specific vehicle application. This creates more relevant, keyword-rich pages for long-tail automotive searches without requiring duplicate URLs.

How long does installation take, and do I need a developer?

Installation follows the standard Shopware 6 plugin process and typically takes 15–30 minutes including initial configuration. Our documentation covers the full setup, and our support team is available to assist with fitment data mapping and storefront integration if needed.

Which Shopware versions are supported?

We build it for the version your shop runs: 6.5, 6.6 or 6.7. Updates for new Shopware versions are included as long as we stay in active contact.

How long does it take?

Usually 5–10 business days after the needs analysis, depending on the agreed scope.
